
Through continuous society-oriented actions, Minerva SA stands by organizations which support children and vulnerable social groups, promoting the values of solidarity, volunteer work and giving.
In the framework of its corporate social responsibility policy, this year Minerva is supporting the work of the “The Smile of the Child” and has undertaken to provide for the basic needs of the 14 homes operated by the organisation, which house over 300 children. Specifically, Minerva is covering the requirements of the homes for one year, providing 204lt of extra virgin olive oil, 48kg of butter, 56kg of margarine and 42lt of vinegar. Minerva employees are actively participating and working on a volunteer basis to implement the programme.
At the same time, Minerva is also working with the Prolepsis Institute in support of DIATROFI, a Programme on Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition, which is being implemented in public schools in socioeconomically sensitive regions of Greece. During the school year 2017-18, it provided 500lt of extra virgin olive oil for the preparation of meals in the framework of the programme, contributing to the effort towards mitigating the problems of hunger and food insecurity faced by school children in vulnerable regions of the country.
