MINERVA acquires the tomato products sector from ELAIS-Unilever Hellas

ELAIS-Unilever Hellas and MINERVA reached an agreement for the selling of the industrial tomato products sector, including the brand names Pummaro and Pelargos, and the tomato processing factory in Gastouni.

In addition, upon completion of the sale process, all workers in the tomato products sector will be transferred to the new owner.

Mr. Andrew Kennedy, Managing Director of ELAISUnilever Hellas S.A. stated that ’’ The sale of the tomato products sector is aligned with Unilever Groups International focus strategy while allowing for development and the creation of long-term value in the tomato products sector. We believe that MINERVA is the most suitable for the future of the tomato products and the Gastouni factory since it intends to expand and develop the brands both locally and internationally’’.

The agreement is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2021.
