Aiming to meet the nutritional requirements of consumers for foods that promote good health, Minerva has entered into an important partnership with the Finnish Raisio Company, producing the product line Minerva Benecol for effective lowering of cholesterol at its plant in Shimatari.

Minerva Benecol products contain plant stanols that lower high levels of "bad" cholesterol LDL up to 15% in 1-2 weeks. Benecol products were first launched in 1995 in Finland by Raisio Company and have spread throughout the world since then. More than 50 clinical trials have proven the efficacy of plant stanol esters in lowering cholesterol.
